DUMFRIES MUSIC COLLECTIVE IS SEEKING A MARKETING OFFICER!

DMC is a Community Interest Company (CIC) that has been operating in Dumfries & Galloway since 2012. DMC offers events and initiatives as a platform on which people can share knowledge, ideas, experience and thoughts about music and other creative practices. Through its annual programme, which includes the flagship Dumfries Music Conference, DMC aims to engage, educate, inspire and empower young people in Dumfries and Galloway.

We will provide a network for inspiring, learning and sharing a range of opportunities and support services to young people, aged 15-25, in Dumfries in Galloway who are looking to build careers across all aspects of the music industry.

We aim to celebrate, support and grow the music industry of Dumfries and Galloway and inspire and educate individuals and audiences to participate and collaborate in this work to benefit the local economy and cultural impact of the town of Dumfries and those that live within Dumfries and Galloway.

It’s our intent to develop a series of programmes, events, workshops and showcases to redress the imbalance of young people having to move away from the region in search of involvement in the creative industries and in turn create a stronger contemporary music industry within the region.
